MZA developed Luogo, a second-story Italian eatery in Nashville's vibrant Gulch neighborhood. For Luogo, or "The Place" in Italian, the client envisioned a comfortable but elegant venue that blended old-world charm with contemporary flair. MZA managed to compress a tight schedule and meticulous detail control while working together with the owner and general contractor. From day one, MZA aimed for a timely and budget-friendly renovation in line with the client’s vision. Thoughtfully redesigned interiors included relocating the bar, opening the kitchen, and enhancing visibility to the private dining space. Unique banquettes, booths, tables, and fine finishes enhance the dining experience, commemorating the authenticity of Luogo's iconic Italian cuisine. The result is a warm yet elegant space that effectively combines historic culinary traditions with modern design to create an instant favorite spot for memorable meals.
