Description
Emblem Park redevelops a former warehouse property in Nashville's Wedgewood-Houston neighborhood into a lively mixed-use community. The 5-acre site, developed by Somera Road and designed in collaboration with EOA, now boasts 346 apartments, 20,000 SF of retail, and amenity-rich interiors. MZA looked to the property's industrial past for inspiration, referencing corrugated metal skin, pitched rooflines, and pops of teal to create a distinctive identity. A restrained palette indoors creates a backdrop for splashes of vibrant artwork and sculptural furniture, including a custom wallcovering by local designers New Hat. The biggest challenge was preserving the character of the original warehouse while bringing new life to the space. By retaining a portion of the existing structure, Emblem Park offers adaptive reuse retail and amenity spaces that anchor the community. The result is a contemporary, textured development that is both rooted and futuristic.
