Description

HailSolve approached MZA to give new life to a deteriorated 1920s foursquare in Music Row's neighborhood of Nashville. Once a proud home, the structure had weathered years of disrepair, leaking roofs, broken windows, and a creaking frame. The restoration preserved the home's historic integrity while transforming it into a modern office. Similarly key original features like the sweeping staircase and leaded glass front entrance were meticulously restored. Brick walls were revealed and capped, oak floors sanded to a high gloss, and a long-neglected attic was reimagined as habitable space connected to a new rear addition. Every eccentric angle was revered rather than eradicated. The result is an energetic, rehabilitating reuse that honors the building's past while satisfying 21st-century needs. A jewel in the community today, the project sets a shining example for preserving Nashville's architectural legacy.
